S. Gopa Kumar is having more than 28 years’ experience in electrical safety, lightning protection, EMI/EMC etc. Carried out 100’s of site studies on failure of electronics and analysed several electrical accidents as an independent expert in safety codes and standards. Designed prestigious projects for EMP and HEMP protection, LPS and earthing as an independent consultant. Conducted more than 1000 technical seminars on Safety codes and standards, LPS, earthing, SPD etc. across continents.

Working as independent consultant in several organizations for standardization in electrical safety. The only member from India in IEC TC 64, TC 81 & SC 37A

Published articles in various magazines and published the book, THE MISSING LINK in the subject of electrical safety. He is also the Program Director of “VIDYUT SURAKSHIT BHARAT ABHIYAN” a mass awareness program on electrical safety supported and participated by Bureau of Indian standards, CEA, Indian railways, ISRO, BHEL, various state government electrical inspectorates.
